Fly from Entebbe to Mauritius (connection included). You are met on arrival and driven by private vehicle to your family resort on the north coast, about 1 hour. Introduce the children to the kids' club and have dinner at the resort.
A gentle first full day. Swim in the calm lagoon, try the resort's snorkelling, paddle boards and kayaks, and let the children join the kids' club activities.
Transfer to the east coast for a full-day catamaran cruise to Ile aux Cerfs island, with snorkelling in clear water, swimming stops and a barbecue lunch on board (lunch is usually included in the cruise). Return to the resort in the late afternoon.
Rest day. Choose from kids' club, pool time or optional extras: an underwater sea walk, glass-bottom boat or a visit to a nearby beach.
A scenic drive to the south-west. See the Seven Coloured Earths, a field of dunes in different colours, the 100 metre Chamarel waterfall and the crater lake of Grand Bassin (Ganga Talao). It is a long day, so we bring snacks and plenty of stops for children.
Visit the Pamplemousses Botanical Garden with its giant water lilies and tortoises, then explore the Central Market and the Caudan Waterfront in Port Louis. Return for an afternoon at the pool.
Breakfast, check-out and private transfer to the airport for the journey back to Entebbe.
