Arrive in Cairo

Fly from Entebbe to Cairo. A driver meets you and transfers you to your hotel in Giza, near the pyramids. Rest and enjoy the evening at the hotel.

DAY2

Pyramids and Sphinx

Meet your Egyptologist guide for the Giza Plateau: the Great Pyramid of Khufu, the pyramids of Khafre and Menkaure, and the Sphinx. In the afternoon, continue to Saqqara to see the Step Pyramid of Djoser, Egypt's first pyramid.

Museum and Khan el-Khalili

Spend the morning at the Grand Egyptian Museum, home to the treasures of Tutankhamun (or the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir Square if you prefer). In the evening explore Khan el-Khalili bazaar for spices, perfumes, lamps and souvenirs.

Islamic and Coptic Cairo

Visit the Citadel of Saladin and the Muhammad Ali Mosque, then Coptic Cairo with its Hanging Church. At sunset enjoy a Nile felucca ride, the traditional sailboat, with a view of the city lights.

Free day

A day at leisure. Optional (extra cost): Dahshur's Bent and Red Pyramids, the Giza Sound and Light show or a Nile dinner cruise.

Alexandria day trip (optional)

Optional day trip to Alexandria on the Mediterranean (about 2.5 hours each way): Qaitbay Citadel, the Bibliotheca Alexandrina and a seafood lunch on the Corniche. Extra cost.

Fly home

Breakfast, check-out and transfer to Cairo airport for your flight to Entebbe.
